Meet Intrepid

Rob Grabow

Rob Grabow In 2002, as a sophomore at Gonzaga University, Rob sold his truck, bought a plane ticket, and took a semester off from school to pursue a dream and train with a semi-professional basketball team near Brisbane, Australia, where he saw the difference between affordable pro-quality uniforms and the high-priced, low-quality gear he had played in in high school, helping pave the way for the founding of Intrepid.

Rob graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top seven percent of his class with B.B.A. (finance concentration) from Gonzaga University in 2005. Rob was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the top business academic honor's society for graduates and undergraduates in America (top 7% of class) and was nominated and inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the top general academic honor's society at Jesuit universities worldwide. Rob was also included in the Who's Who Among America's College Students publication as well as the National Dean's List publication (one-half of 1% of college students in America are accepted).

While a senior at Gonzaga, Rob and a friend successfully published and distributed the country's first non-partisan political anthology from 17- to 25-year-olds, What We Think: Young Voters Speak Out. As a result of his work on the project, Rob was interviewed live in-front of 5-10 million viewers on CNN's Live Today as well as on MSNBC, and led an hour-long book presentation and discussion on young adults and politics at the Elliott Bay Book Company, which aired three times on CSPAN's Book TV. Following graduation Rob worked as a District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America's Inland Northwest Council before leaving to work full time on Intrepid Sportswear.

Rob's a fun dude. Besides being a hoops nut, he spent a year in Germany as a Rotary Sponsored Exchange Student and converses in near-fluent German. He spent a year in Florence, Italy through Gonzaga's Study Abroad program and is conversational in Italian and Spanish. He is also a travel junkie who has visited 30-plus countries.

More embarrassingly, Rob once wore a Hawaiian shirt to a rodeo. While he denies this in no uncertain terms, pictures abound as proof. Rumor holds he almost got beat up for it, but we're still investigating.

Heather Jaccard

Heather Cromer Heather grew up in the advertising business and at age fifteen, to the chagrin of child labor law enforcers, she unofficially took the helm as lead graphic designer at her parents' Sign-A-Rama Sign in Vancouver, WA. By sixteen she was officially not only lead graphic designer but also the production manager supervising seven other employees - a detail for which she draws occasional good-spirited ribbing from her coworkers.

Heather has loved graphic design all her life, a passion she integrates well into her many capacities as Intrepid's marketing, design, and and operations wizard. On weekends you can find Heather and her husband fearlessly cheering on the Seahawks, probably down 49-0, in the worst of freezing blizzards. On a personal note, she enjoys homemade popcorn and a cold Blue Moon (with extra orange). Heather is true Washingtonian, completing her grad schooling at Gonzaga and living in state her whole life to date. Heather's been a member of the Intrepid family for five years and intrepidly works uniform design miracles to make your team look sharp.

Chris Rodgers

Chris Rodgers Chris is a veteran of organizations from nonprofits to financial services and publishing going all the way back to DOS days. A resident of the Boston area for fifteen years, he most recently joined Intrepid from the mountains of Montana, where he served as a collections curator and factotum at the Livingston Depot Museum, writing close to a million dollars in awarded historic preservation grants. Previously he helped restore and manage a historic hotel building as well as worked with a Pioneer Investments team supporting institutional clients with half a billion in assets. An alum of Harvard University (which he says amounts to what you make of it yourself), Chris can get by comfortably in Spanish, French, and Russian. He lived two years in London plus several summers and a winter stretch in Moscow, and takes interest in everything from classical and jazz to astrophysics and digital photography (over 3000 images on his latest trip). He's a strong believer in creating value for customers and their schools, and in his free time when his geek side isn't reading or posting web albums, he likes to cycle and scramble for peaks where the air just starts to get cool and thin.

Sam Martin

Sam Martin joined Intrepid from the Excelsior Youth Center, where he supervised the full campus of students with behavioral, emotional, aggression, and chemical dependency issues. A man whose high spirits never flag except when the Nebraska Cornhuskers fall a little short of the end zone (if you don't believe us, you should see the four-foot Big Red flag hanging behind his desk), he made an outstanding Popeye, in company of fiancee Olive Oyl at a small halloween party, complete with a can of spinach. He even ran an ice cream shop in a past life and virtuously did not finish off the entire stock himself. Sam, one of the friendliest voices you'll catch on a phone, played football at Eastern Washington University and played hoops in high school too, so he has the keen eye of a hawk for great-looking athletic gear. (Oh yeah, congratulate him too: Popeye and Olive (Amy) tied the knot!)

Tim Rodgers

Tim Rodgers, an acting advisor with Intrepid, is the President of Revolution Electric Motor Company, a producer of high-efficiency electric motors and generators. In this capacity, he's also the author of several patents. Prior to founding Revolution, Tim was the Director of Internet Marketing for the automotive investment subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, where his responsibilities included cost analyses and financial projections. He also forged new partnerships and negotiated contracts on the subsidiary and Ford's behalf. From 1997 through 2000 Tim was a founder and the Director of Business Development of Gear.com, Inc., an online excess inventory retailer. He raised the initial capital and developed the company's strategic partnerships. The company was sold to Overstock.com, which conducted a successful public offering in 2002. Tim is a former Investment Executive at Piper Jaffray, Inc. He earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1991, where he skiied for the varsity team - we have some pretty sweet pics to prove it!

Kevin

Introducing Kevin! Just like his namesake, Kevin Bacon, our Kevin is very personal and brings our uniforms to life through his rock-solid modeling and acting skills. Though some think Kevin is a little underspoken in the communication department, a few employees have admitted to talking to Kevin when alone in the office - we think that speaks for itself. Kevin was an unexpected addition to our team, but after an early photo shoot, we just had to sign him on, and we haven't looked back since. Expect big things from him as he captains the modeling of our latest football, volleyball, softball, and soccer designs. He's just more proof you don't have to have legs or a head or arms to have a big heart.
